What a Wicked Game

Another fun concert at Foxwoods MGM Grand Theater.... and we had pretty good seats! Chris Isaak put on quite a show. The first half consisted primarily of his music (and of course his blockbuster) "Wicked Game"

Wicked Game

He's recorded some other great tunes
Take a couple of minutes to listen to "Forever Blue"
Forever Blue

The second half of the show featured a new album they recorded (not released yet) at Sun Studios in Memphis - - - which we visited last fall!!! A lot of covers of the greats from the past - Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis - they brought the house down on
Great Balls of Fire

Have to admit I only knew "Wicked Game" so I was pleasantly surprised that the concert was so good.

Busted flat in Baton Rouge

Who'd have ever thunk it?
Kris Kristofferson in New Bedford?
He put on a great show at the Z; just him and a guitar and harmonica and one poetic moment after another.
At 74 years old - still singing - and unlike what they look for on Idol or the Voice he's not really a great singer, maybe that's another reason why I like him.
He's also intelligent - a Rhodes scholar - and is against war - and talks about it on the stage - someone might call him a radical!!!!
An enjoyable night for all.

Most of his songs were made famous by others.
This is probably his most famous - a version by him
