What did I expect really?
I mean when Marlene asked I had to do an internet search to remember more than one Loverboy song.
During the first hour of this 90 minute show, I vaguely recognized another song and I got really excited when they were doing some kind of jazz fusion that seemed to be moving into the Doors' "Riders on the Storm". But then it segued into something else. Don't know what.
Of course, how could they compare to the emotion of Jim Morrison?
Riders on the Storm
Loverboy had a few hits, but their lead singer doesn't have a strong voice, and as is often the case with rock bands, the vocabulary is limited. How many times do you need to hear "You're a great audience .... this place is rocking!!" The last half hour got better. You might say I'm showing my age, but I would've preferred a good Doors tribute band.
